The Juntion Oval is located in St Kilda and was the home ground of the St Kilda Football Club from their entry into the VFL in 1897 through to 1964.

Billy is a devoted Sainter and first went to the Junction Oval with his dad as a four year old in 1956. He recalls Footscray's Brownlow Medalist Peter Box starring on that day. He reminisces about Sainter legends Billy Stephenson, Darrel Baldock and Ian Stewart. He also talks about seeing Carl Ditterich's first game as a 17 year old. Billy loves the Junction Oval and believes it has the best surface of all 12 original VFL grounds.

Details on the Junction Oval can be found at Wikipedia and Austadiums.
